Gunblade AP Akali, mid

Build
Runes and masteries
x9Mark of Attack DamageMark
x9Seal of ArmorSeal
x9Glyph of Ability PowerGlyph
x3Quintessence of Ability PowerQuint
- Attack Damage +9.00
- Ability Power +25.80
- Armor +9.00
The AD marks turn on Twin Disciplines' spell vamp early, while flat AP glyphs and quints make your Q mark and Lich Bane trades hit hard before the Deathcap/Void Staff finish. Armor seals keep the Doran's Shield lane plan intact while you wait for six and Gunblade.
Go 21 offense because this is a Gunblade into Lich Bane, Deathcap, Void Staff Akali page: magic pen, AP scaling, Spellsword, and Executioner all feed your Q proc all-ins. The 9 utility points are for Flash cooldown, roaming movement, and Artificer so Gunblade is up more often when you commit.
Skill order
ultimate at 6, 11 and 16Twin Disciplines
- Mark of the Assassin (Q) takes points at levels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.
- Twilight Shroud (W) takes points at levels 2, 14, 15, 17, 18.
- Crescent Slash (E) takes points at levels 4, 8, 10, 12, 13.
- Shadow Dance (R) takes points at levels 6, 11, 16.
Max Q first for the lane sustain and mark burst, then E for the AP/AD follow-up once Gunblade and Lich Bane are online, leaving W for later utility.

1Bilgewater Cutlass1,400gCutlass is the first target because it gets you toward Gunblade and gives an active slow for early kills.
2Hextech Gunblade3,400gGunblade is the core spike: sustain, burst, and a slow so your dashes convert into kills.
3Lich Bane3,000gLich Bane turns your constant spell casts and mark procs into much harder auto attacks.
4Rabadon's Deathcap3,300gDeathcap massively boosts the AP scaling on your on-hit damage and burst.
5Zhonya's Hourglass3,260gZhonya's gives you a way to disengage or stall when shroud is down and the enemy turns on you.

Oracle's Elixir400gwhen stealth champions or ward control matter and you want to clear or reveal invisibility
Notes
the author's own wordsAkali wants to survive the early lane, hit six, and start turning fights with Shadow Dance resets. Q is the sustain tool and the real lane button: tag, proc the mark, and use the spell vamp to keep yourself in lane while you wait for a good roam or a punish under tower.
Gunblade is the first real spike, giving the lifesteal, spell vamp, burst active, and slow that make your all-ins stick. After that, stack AP and Spellblade damage so every Q proc and auto matters; once the game gets messy, use shroud and later Zhonya's to buy time when the enemy pink wards, Oracles, exhausts, or peels you off.
