This is a legal 9/21/0 page: offense gives AP scaling and magic penetration for Poison Trail and Fling, while defense gives the durability, tenacity, and damage reduction Singed needs to run through fights.

Corein buy order

  • 1

Rod of Ages2,800gRod of Ages gives health, mana, AP, and extra passive health from Singed's mana-scaling passive, making it the classic early scaling buy.

  • 2

Mercury's Treads1,200gMercury's Treads give magic resist and tenacity so Singed can keep moving through crowd control.

  • 3

Rylai's Crystal Scepter2,900gRylai's Crystal Scepter turns Poison Trail into persistent chase control while adding AP and a large health pool.

  • 4

Sunfire Cape2,650gSunfire Cape stacks durable armor and health with another constant damage aura for brawling in the middle of fights.

Situationalonly when the game asks for it

  • Boots of Swiftness1,000gBuy Boots of Swiftness instead of Mercury's Treads when slows are the main problem and hard crowd control is limited.

  • Ninja Tabi1,000gBuy Ninja Tabi instead of Mercury's Treads into heavy physical lanes or auto-attack based team comps.

  • Force of Nature2,610gBuy Force of Nature when the enemy team is magic-heavy and you value movement speed plus regeneration over cooldown reduction.

  • Banshee's Veil2,750gBuy Banshee's Veil when one spell, hook, or engage tool decides whether you can enter a fight safely.

  • Abyssal Scepter2,560gBuy Abyssal Scepter when your team has multiple magic damage threats and you can stay close enough to apply the MR reduction aura.

  • Zhonya's Hourglass3,260gBuy Zhonya's Hourglass when you need armor and a stasis button after running into the enemy backline.

This is a corrected 0/9/21 support page: the defense points keep melee trades survivable, while utility gives Flash cooldown, gold income, ward value, item-actives, Pickpocket, and movement. The rejected 32-point version is fixed by dropping Awareness and reducing Intelligence to 1 point.

  • Insanity Potion (R) takes points at levels 6, 11, 16.

Max Q first because Poison Trail is Singed's reliable damage and zone control, then E for stronger pick damage, with one early W to set up Fling or peel. Take R at 6, 11, and 16 only.

Alternative — A W-second order was sometimes used when your lane only needed peel and catch setup, but Q max into E max was the normal damage-and-threat order.

Not the author's. This is a 21 Defense / 9 Offense page for a mana-health Singed built around Catalyst, Rod of Ages, Tear, and Rylai's. The Defense side supports running through fights, while Sorcery, Blast, and Arcane Knowledge match the magic damage from Poison Trail and the AP item path. Inferred from the build and text they did publish.

Notes

the author's own words

Singed, Dangerous and Moving — rated 8.5/10 from 11 votes on MOBAFire.

What the guide does not publish: the guide names a 5-item core and a menu of options after it rather than a finished six; the guide never fills in an ability sequence.

Build by The Cutest Koala, written in Season 3 and transcribed from [MOBAFire's League Classic library](https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/singed-dangerous-and-moving-304253).

Matchup against

62 champions, one-on-one
  • Ahri

    AhriEven

Singed can outlast Ahri if he gets on top of her, but Charm and Spirit Rush give her enough control to decide when the fight happens.

Watch for Charm: stops your run-in and lets Ahri land Orb of Deception both ways before you can Fling.

    How to beat

Hold a diagonal approach instead of running straight at her, so Charm and Orb of Deception are harder to line up together. If Charm misses or is used on a minion wave, turn on Poison Trail, drop Mega Adhesive behind her escape path, and force her to spend Spirit Rush defensively before committing Fling.

Later Ahri is better at picking targets in teamfights, while Singed is better at forcing messy fights and soaking cooldowns. In side lane she usually cannot kill you through tank items, but you also need to respect her ability to disengage and join first.

    • Do not Fling while Spirit Rush is still ready unless Mega Adhesive is already cutting off her dash direction.
    • If Orb of Deception is returning through you, keep moving sideways instead of chasing directly.
    • Charm is the green light; without it, Ahri has to kite with damage instead of control.
    BuyBanshee's VeilMercury's TreadsForce of Nature
  • Akali

    AkaliEven

Singed can punish Akali when she commits, but Twilight Shroud and Shadow Dance let her avoid the clean extended chase he wants.

Watch for Twilight Shroud: breaks your ability to target Fling and lets Akali wait out Poison Trail damage while her cooldowns return.

    How to beat

Fight near the edge of Twilight Shroud rather than standing inside it, and keep Poison Trail covering the smoke so she pays health to stay hidden. Bait the Mark of the Assassin proc, then Fling her out of shroud after she spends Shadow Dance to enter.

Later Akali is more dangerous to carries, but Singed is harder for her to actually finish once he has magic resist and health. In side lane the fight stays skill-based: deny shroud value with poison zones, then proxy or shove if she refuses to commit.

    • Do not waste Fling into Twilight Shroud unless you have vision or she has revealed herself.
    • Mega Adhesive on the shroud edge makes her next Shadow Dance path predictable.
    • If Mark of the Assassin is on you, back off until the proc timer is nearly gone.
    BuyBanshee's VeilSpirit VisageSpectre's Cowl
  • Alistar

    AlistarFavoured

Alistar has strong displacement but too little sustained damage to beat Singed in a long duel.

Watch for Unbreakable Will: removes your control and heavily reduces your damage during the window where you would normally chase him down.

    How to beat

Do not chase through Pulverize and Headbutt as if they are kill windows; let him spend them to disengage, then restart the chase with Poison Trail still ticking. Save Fling for after Unbreakable Will is used or ending, because throwing him during the damage reduction rarely wins anything.

Later Alistar matters more as a teamfight engager and peeler than as a side-lane threat. Singed should ignore the pure duel unless Alistar is isolated without ultimate, and instead use speed to get past him onto carries.

    • Flinging Alistar toward your team before Unbreakable Will is stronger than trying to solo kill him early.
    • Mega Adhesive after Headbutt can stop him from cleanly walking away.
    • If he ults, swap targets or keep moving rather than dumping damage into him.
  • Amumu

    AmumuEven

Both champions want a close-range extended fight, and Amumu's percent-health Despair makes Singed's tankiness less decisive.

Watch for Despair: drains a percentage of your maximum health every second, punishing you for standing next to him too long.

    How to beat

Do not take a stationary brawl where Despair and Tantrum get full value. Kite in short loops with Poison Trail, make Bandage Toss miss by changing angle, then Fling him away when he tries to keep contact after Curse of the Sad Mummy.

Later Amumu usually has the stronger teamfight lockdown, while Singed has better side pressure and disruption after the engage starts. In late fights, avoid being the perfect Curse target and look to split his backline from his follow-up damage.

    • If Bandage Toss misses, Amumu has to walk through poison to keep the fight going.
    • Flinging him away during Despair cuts his best damage source.
    • Do not stack directly on allies when Curse of the Sad Mummy is ready.
    BuySpirit VisageForce of NatureMercury's Treads
  • Anivia

    AniviaUnfavoured

Anivia's wall, stun, slow, and egg make it difficult for Singed to ever convert a catch into a kill.

Watch for Crystallize: blocks your chase path and can trap you inside Glacial Storm where Anivia gets repeated Frostbite trades.

    How to beat

Approach from the side of the lane, not through the center, so Crystallize cannot completely seal your path. Bait Flash Frost first, then use Insanity Potion to run through the slow field and Fling her only if you can keep poison on the egg afterward.

Later Anivia controls teamfight terrain better than Singed and makes narrow jungle fights miserable. Singed should pressure side waves and enter fights from flanks, because front-to-back chasing through wall and storm is losing.

    • Do not chase in a straight lane corridor when Crystallize is available.
    • If Rebirth triggers under her tower or team, the duel is effectively over.
    • Mega Adhesive behind Anivia matters more than under her feet, because she wants to retreat into wall and storm.
    BuyBanshee's VeilMercury's TreadsForce of Nature
  • Annie

    AnnieUnfavoured

Annie's targeted burst and stun punish Singed before he can turn the fight into a long poison chase.

Watch for Pyromania with Summon: Tibbers: gives Annie instant area burst and a stun that stops your engage before Fling range.

    How to beat

Track her stun stacks before walking up; if Pyromania is ready, you cannot treat the distance as neutral. Force her to spend stun defensively or on the wave, then commit immediately with Insanity Potion and Fling before Tibbers and Disintegrate cycle again.

Later Annie is far more dangerous in grouped fights because her stun can start or stop the entire engage. Singed should flank rather than front-charge, and build enough magic resistance that eating the initial combo does not end the fight.

    • Count Pyromania; the matchup changes completely at four stacks.
    • Do not Fling Tibbers by accident when Annie is just outside range.
    • If Annie has no stun, she is short-ranged enough for Mega Adhesive to trap her retreat.
    BuyBanshee's VeilMercury's TreadsForce of Nature
  • Ashe

    AsheUnfavoured

Ashe wins the duel if she keeps spacing, because Frost Shot denies Singed the extended contact he needs.

Watch for Frost Shot: repeated basic-attack slows keep you outside Fling range and make retreating after a failed engage painful.

    How to beat

Use brush, fog, or a flank; running at Ashe from open lane gives her the fight she wants. Save Mega Adhesive for after Enchanted Crystal Arrow or Flash, then commit with Insanity Potion only when you can force Fling before she rebuilds distance.

Later Ashe is stronger in organized teamfights if she can kite behind peel, but Singed can ruin her fight from a flank. In side lane she wins open-space duels, while Singed wins if he reaches her from fog or cuts off the retreat path.

    • Boots of Swiftness are specifically valuable because Frost Shot is constant, not occasional.
    • Do not start the chase after eating a max-range Enchanted Crystal Arrow unless your team is already following.
    • Mega Adhesive behind Ashe is better than directly under her if she still has room to kite.
    BuyBoots of SwiftnessRanduin's OmenNinja Tabi
  • Blitzcrank

    BlitzcrankFavoured

Blitzcrank can interrupt Singed, but he lacks the sustained damage to win once his hook combo is spent.

Watch for Rocket Grab: pulls you out of your chosen path and can drag you under tower or into a team before the duel begins.

    How to beat

In a true 1v1, let Blitzcrank spend Rocket Grab or dodge it sideways, then chase through Overdrive with Poison Trail. Fling him after Power Fist is used, because his knock-up is the only thing that meaningfully breaks your contact.

Later Blitzcrank is a pick champion, not a side-lane duelist. Singed should avoid getting hooked into the enemy team, but if Blitzcrank is alone he can usually be ignored or run down after cooldowns.

    • Do not proxy carelessly when Rocket Grab can pull you into turret range.
    • If Mana Barrier appears, keep poison on him instead of overchasing for one more auto.
    • Power Fist interrupts your tempo, but after it lands he has little left.
    BuyMercury's TreadsGuardian Angel
  • Brand

    BrandUnfavoured

Brand's percent-health burn and layered skillshots punish Singed for running straight through him.

Watch for Blaze: adds percent-health magic damage to every spell hit, making your health stacking less reliable in extended trades.

    How to beat

Never give Brand a straight-line approach where Sear follows Conflagration for a stun. Bait Pillar of Flame, sidestep Sear, then sprint through with Insanity Potion and Fling before Pyroclasm can bounce between you and nearby units.

Later Brand has much higher teamfight damage, especially if Singed brings poison fights into clustered allies. Singed should attack from an angle, split Brand from his frontline, and avoid starting fights inside minion waves where Pyroclasm has bounce targets.

    • Fight away from minions when Pyroclasm is ready.
    • If Sear is down, Brand has damage but no reliable stop for your run-in.
    • Do not stand in Poison Trail range of Brand if it also keeps you inside Pillar of Flame.
    BuyBanshee's VeilSpirit VisageForce of Nature
  • Cho'Gath

    Cho'GathUnfavoured

Cho'Gath matches Singed's durability while adding silence, knock-up, sustain, and Feast execute pressure.

Watch for Feast: true-damage execute removes the low-health escape window Singed often relies on to finish a poison chase.

    How to beat

Do not let the fight become a slow melee trade after Feral Scream, because silence stops your ability to reposition with Fling at the key moment. Bait Rupture with angled movement, poison him while kiting around his Vorpal Spikes, and only commit after Feast range is not lethal.

Later Cho'Gath becomes very hard to remove from side lane and offers stronger objective control with Feast. Singed should usually shove and rotate rather than try to grind him down, then disrupt carries while Cho'Gath is forced to choose between peeling and following.

    • Respect Feast earlier than your health bar suggests; it is true damage.
    • Feral Scream before Rupture makes your escape timing much worse.
    • If Cho'Gath misses Rupture, you can make him walk through poison for every last-hit.
    BuySpirit VisageForce of NatureBanshee's Veil
  • Corki

    CorkiUnfavoured

Corki's ranged mixed damage and Valkyrie make it difficult for Singed to force a decisive Fling.

Watch for Valkyrie: resets the spacing after Singed commits and leaves a damaging trail that punishes chasing in a straight line.

    How to beat

Do not burn Insanity Potion just to close the first gap; Corki will Valkyrie and leave you chasing through fire. Walk him toward a wall or lane edge, place Mega Adhesive behind his Valkyrie landing zone, then Fling if he uses Gatling Gun aggressively and gives up distance.

Later Corki scales into strong teamfight and poke damage, while Singed remains better at creating chaos if he reaches the backline. In side lane, Corki wins open kiting patterns, so Singed needs flank angles and armor plus magic resistance rather than pure health.

    • Valkyrie is the cooldown that decides whether Fling is possible.
    • Do not chase directly through Gatling Gun and Valkyrie together.
    • Mega Adhesive can make Corki's landing spot bad even if it does not stop the dash itself.
    BuyGuardian AngelRanduin's OmenNinja Tabi
  • Dr. Mundo

    Dr. MundoEven

The duel is a long health-and-regeneration check where Singed can kite, but Mundo's cleavers and ultimate make him hard to actually finish.

Watch for Sadism: restores enough health during the chase to erase a partial poison win unless you keep pressure through the full duration.

    How to beat

Dodge Infected Cleaver first; if it lands, Mundo gets to choose whether to continue or leave. Keep Poison Trail between him and the wave, save Fling to interrupt his forward walk during Sadism, and avoid standing still inside Burning Agony trades.

Later Mundo is harder to kill in side lane, while Singed is usually more disruptive to carries in teamfights. If your team lacks Grievous Wounds, do not spend the whole fight trying to kill Mundo; move past him and force his backline to reposition.

    • A missed Infected Cleaver is your best window to run at him.
    • Fling during Sadism buys time for poison to keep ticking while he regenerates.
    • Do not judge the duel by first health bars; Mundo's ultimate changes the second half.

  • Evelynn

    EvelynnFavoured

Evelynn needs a fast burst window, and Singed's durability plus poison punish her if she stays in melee range.

Watch for Agony's Embrace: gives Evelynn her best slow and burst window, letting her disengage before Poison Trail wins the long fight.

    How to beat

Keep moving after she appears; do not let the first Ravage and Hate Spike chain happen while you stand still. Once Agony's Embrace is used, run through her retreat path with Poison Trail and Fling her back into it before Dark Frenzy movement speed lets her leave.

Later Evelynn is more dangerous as a flank assassin than as a front-facing duelist. Singed should buy vision, keep poison in likely approach paths, and peel her off carries if she commits too deep.

    • Her camouflage matters before the fight; once revealed, she hates extended contact.
    • Fling after Agony's Embrace prevents her from turning the slow into a clean exit.
    • Poison Trail can reveal the path she wants to use even if you did not start the fight on your terms.

  • Ezreal

    EzrealUnfavoured

Ezreal can kite Singed almost indefinitely if Arcane Shift is held for Fling range.

Watch for Arcane Shift: removes your all-in angle and creates enough space for Mystic Shot to keep the chase going in Ezreal's favor.

    How to beat

Do not chase straight through Mystic Shot range while Arcane Shift is ready. Pressure him with side angles, bait Arcane Shift with Mega Adhesive or a fake run-in, then use Insanity Potion to close the second gap before his cooldown reduction from Mystic Shot brings it back.

Later Ezreal is safer in side lane than most marksmen and contributes poke before teamfights start. Singed should force him to Shift defensively before a real engage, then either Fling him back or zone him so he cannot free-cast.

    • Arcane Shift, not Trueshot Barrage, decides the 1v1.
    • If Mystic Shot keeps landing, his escape and damage cooldowns return too quickly.
    • Mega Adhesive near Ezreal's landing options is stronger than throwing it on his current position.

  • Fiddlesticks

    FiddlesticksEven

Fiddlesticks can beat Singed if Drain runs uninterrupted, but Singed wins when he breaks the channel and keeps moving through poison.

Watch for Drain: turns the duel around if Singed cannot interrupt it with Fling or leave its range quickly.

    How to beat

Hold Fling for Drain instead of using it as your opener. Bait Terrify, then close with Insanity Potion; once Drain starts, Fling immediately and keep running so Crowstorm cannot tick on you for its full duration.

Later Fiddlesticks is much more important as a fog-of-war teamfight ult champion than as a side-lane duelist. Singed should ward flanks, avoid grouping blindly, and use Fling or displacement pressure to stop Drain and punish failed Crowstorm entries.

    • Do not waste Fling before Drain starts unless the kill is immediate.
    • Mercury's Treads cut both Terrify and Dark Wind silence value.
    • If Crowstorm starts from fog, run out first and re-enter after the initial burst.

  • Gangplank

    GangplankEven

Gangplank can cleanse Fling's displacement setup and poke with Parrrley, but Singed wins if he forces an extended chase after Remove Scurvy is down.

Watch for Remove Scurvy: clears crowd control and heals, denying the moment where Fling would normally lock Gangplank into Poison Trail.

    How to beat

Use short trades to make him spend Remove Scurvy before you commit fully. Once it is down, Mega Adhesive his retreat path, turn on Poison Trail, and stay close enough that Parrrley poke cannot reset the fight for free.

Later Gangplank brings global pressure and stronger ranged contribution with Cannon Barrage, while Singed is better at physically disrupting a fight. In side lane the duel remains close: Singed wants long contact, Gangplank wants Parrrley spacing and a clean cleanse timing.

    • Do not treat the first Fling as final if Remove Scurvy is ready.
    • Cannon Barrage can turn your chase path into a slow field, so save extra movement for after it drops.
    • If Gangplank uses Parrrley on minions, he gives you a small window to walk up without eating poke.

  • Garen

    GarenEven

Singed can kite Garen through Poison Trail, but Garen's slow cleanse and execute punish any fling that turns into a real melee brawl.

Watch for Decisive Strike breaks Mega Adhesive's slow and lets Garen reach you for the silence before you can safely Fling.

    How to beat

Hold just outside Decisive Strike range and keep Poison Trail clipping him whenever he walks up for last hits. Do not Fling while his Q speed is active unless you are throwing him under your turret or into a finished poison path. Commit after he spends Q, then kite through W and back off before Demacian Justice becomes lethal.

Later Singed usually controls side lane tempo by clearing faster and refusing clean all-ins, while Garen is better at executing low-health targets in messy fights. In teamfights, spread poison through the frontline but do not donate a low-health execute; use Fling to peel Garen off carries or throw him away from a reset window.

    • Touch him with Poison Trail often enough to keep Perseverance from resetting.
    • Mega Adhesive before Decisive Strike is weak; make him Q first if possible.
    • If he starts Judgment after Fling, keep moving straight through your poison instead of standing to trade.
    • Respect Demacian Justice more than his sustained damage once you are below half.

  • Gragas

    GragasEven

Gragas has enough displacement and sustain to stop clean run-downs, but Singed wins extended contact if Body Slam is down and Gragas has to walk through poison.

Watch for Body Slam interrupts your approach, slows you, and creates the space Gragas needs to reset the fight.

    How to beat

Stand off-angle from minions so Body Slam cannot hit you and the wave at the same time. Bait Body Slam with a short forward step, then activate Insanity Potion and run past him for Fling while Barrel Roll is avoidable. If Explosive Cask is available, commit only when you can survive being knocked away from your poison trail.

Later Gragas has stronger pick and disengage value, while Singed is better at forcing long fights and splitting waves. In side lane, you can pressure if he cannot one-shot the wave safely; in teamfights, avoid being casked out before your poison and Fling matter.

    • Do not chase in a straight line through Barrel Roll zones.
    • Fling after Body Slam, not before it, or he simply dashes away.
    • Explosive Cask can undo your engage angle; approach from the side rather than directly behind your team.
    • His passive sustain makes short poison taps less meaningful than a full extended chase.

  • Heimerdinger

    HeimerdingerUnfavoured

Heimerdinger's turrets make the approach expensive, and Singed has to overcommit through setup damage before he can reach the actual champion.

Watch for H-28G Evolution Turret controls the ground around Heimerdinger and turns every Fling attempt into sustained extra damage.

    How to beat

Do not fight him inside a prepared turret nest unless the wave is already cleared. Drag poison through turrets from the edge, back out, and only run at Heimerdinger after a turret line is thinned or his grenade misses. If you Fling him, keep moving immediately so rockets and turret shots do not get a stationary finish.

Later Heimerdinger remains better in set areas and sieges, but Singed can ignore him by proxying waves and forcing rotations. In teamfights, you are not trying to duel the turret field; flank around it and throw Heimerdinger or a carry out of position.

    • Clear turrets with poison passes before committing to Heimer himself.
    • A direct Fling through multiple turrets is usually losing even if you reach him.
    • Save movement from Insanity Potion for the engage, not for eating poke on the way in.
    • If CH-1 Concussion Grenade misses, that is your best window to cross the turret line.

  • Janna

    JannaFavoured

Janna is difficult to pin down, but she lacks the damage to win a fair duel once Singed reaches her more than once.

Watch for Monsoon knocks you away and resets the distance after you spend Fling or Insanity Potion to close.

    How to beat

Walk her down patiently instead of blowing everything into Howling Gale. Hold Mega Adhesive for after Zephyr or Monsoon creates space, then Fling when she has no knockback left. If she only shields and runs, keep poison between her escape path and the wave rather than chasing in a straight line.

Later Janna almost never wants this duel; her value is denying your teamfight engage. Late, Singed wins side pressure, but in 5v5 he must flank so Monsoon cannot cleanly push him out before Fling connects.

    • Do not Fling before Monsoon unless the throw guarantees a kill or a turret angle.
    • Mega Adhesive behind her is better than directly under her because she wants to kite backward.
    • Howling Gale is easiest to avoid by changing angle early, not by reacting at max charge.
    • Her shield buys time but does not change the damage race if you stay attached.

  • Jarvan IV

    Jarvan IVEven

Jarvan can burst and trap Singed, but his cooldowns are linear enough that Singed wins if he dodges the flag-drag and turns the arena into poison ground.

Watch for Demacian Standard plus Dragon Strike knocks you up and gives Jarvan the clean burst window before you can kite.

    How to beat

Keep lateral movement so the flag-drag line is hard to land. If he misses it, immediately run through him, Fling him back into Poison Trail, and do not let Martial Cadence autos happen for free. When Cataclysm lands, poison the whole arena and fight only long enough to make him regret being trapped with you.

Later Jarvan has more reliable engage for teamfights, while Singed is better at extended side-lane annoyance if he avoids repeated armor shred trades. In fights, you often counter-engage after Cataclysm rather than starting first, flinging Jarvan or a trapped carry out of position.

    • Sidestep the E-Q line before thinking about damage.
    • Cataclysm is not always bad for you; it can trap Jarvan inside Poison Trail too.
    • Avoid short trades where Martial Cadence lands and you do not get extended poison time.
    • Flinging him after Dragon Strike removes most of his follow-up mobility.

  • Jax

    JaxUnfavoured

Jax scales too well in sustained melee and reduces Singed's area damage during Counter Strike, making equal-item duels dangerous once he can stay on target.

Watch for Counter Strike reduces your Poison Trail damage and lets Jax force a stun when you try to run past him.

    How to beat

Do not treat Fling as a full all-in unless Counter Strike is down. Bait Counter Strike with a close pass, keep moving until the stun ends or misses, then Fling him into poison and disengage before his attack-speed stacks take over. Mega Adhesive is for after Leap Strike, not before, because he can jump across it to reattach.

Later Jax eventually wins the pure side-lane duel if he can force repeated contact, while Singed brings better disruption in clustered teamfights. Late, avoid isolated long fights; shove waves, waste his time, and save Fling for peeling him off your carries.

    • Never stand and auto during Counter Strike; it is exactly the fight he wants.
    • If Leap Strike is down, Mega Adhesive can finally create real distance.
    • Short poison passes are better than trying to kill him from full health.
    • Armor helps, but cooldown discipline matters more than the item check.

  • Karthus

    KarthusFavoured

Karthus hurts if Singed stands in Defile, but he has no mobility and is very vulnerable to being flung and chased through poison.

Watch for Wall of Pain strips your movement and magic resistance, turning a chase into several easy Lay Waste hits.

    How to beat

Approach diagonally so Lay Waste is hard to isolate, and do not run through the full Wall of Pain unless Insanity Potion is active. Once you reach him, Fling him behind you and keep circling so he must choose between Defile range and eating Poison Trail. Leave before Death Defied finishes the trade if killing him would put you too low.

Later Singed can pressure Karthus in side lanes, but Karthus remains more valuable in full teamfights if he dies in the middle and casts freely. Your job late is to force him to spend Wall defensively, displace him before Defile sits on your backline, then exit his passive zone.

    • Do not stand still after Fling; isolated Lay Waste punishes predictable movement.
    • Wall of Pain is the real escape tool, not his damage spell.
    • Killing him is not the end of the duel because Death Defied can still finish you.
    • Poison Trail lets you damage him while dodging Q, which is the matchup's main advantage.

  • Kassadin

    KassadinUnfavoured

Kassadin resists Singed's magic damage and can silence or Riftwalk away whenever Singed tries to make the fight continuous.

Watch for Riftwalk breaks your chase pattern and lets Kassadin decide when the duel continues.

    How to beat

Pressure before he has repeated Riftwalk access, and make him spend Null Sphere on poke before you commit. Put Mega Adhesive where he wants to blink next, not where he is standing, then Fling only if he has just used Riftwalk aggressively. If he saves mana and cooldowns, accept the wave control instead of chasing him forever.

Later Kassadin is much harder to pin late and usually wins isolated duels by spacing and repeated bursts. Singed should shove side waves but look to teamfight as disruption, forcing Kassadin to choose between diving your backline and being flung into your team.

    • His passive directly lowers your poison damage, so long chases are less lethal than usual.
    • Null Sphere silence can stop the immediate Fling if you telegraph the engage.
    • Mega Adhesive behind him is better than under him once Riftwalk is available.
    • Do not follow every blink; make him pay mana while you take the wave.

  • Katarina

    KatarinaFavoured

Katarina needs uninterrupted channel time and repeated melee access, both of which Singed can deny with Fling and constant movement.

Watch for Death Lotus deals its damage only if you let her channel near you after Shunpo.

    How to beat

Keep moving so Bouncing Blade and Sinister Steel do not become free repeated trades. Save Fling for Death Lotus unless the throw puts her into turret or a guaranteed poison finish. After she uses Shunpo in, drop Mega Adhesive on her exit path and run through her rather than away from her.

Later Katarina is more dangerous in teamfights because resets punish low-health allies, but Singed is one of the better champions at breaking her channel. In side lane, you can usually bully her off waves; in 5v5, hold Fling until Death Lotus or a reset attempt starts.

    • Do not waste Fling right before she ults.
    • If Shunpo is used forward, she has committed to your poison path.
    • Mega Adhesive under her after Shunpo makes the post-ult escape awkward.
    • Your displacement matters more than raw damage in this matchup.

  • Kayle

    KayleUnfavoured

Kayle's ranged Righteous Fury and movement tools let her kite Singed, and Intervention denies the moment when poison would finish the duel.

Watch for Intervention makes Kayle immune during your all-in window and lets her keep attacking while your poison timer is wasted.

    How to beat

Do not chase through active Righteous Fury from full health unless her Reckoning slow is down. Bait Intervention with an early Fling and poison pass, then disengage briefly instead of dumping the rest of the chase into immunity. Recommit when Righteous Fury or Intervention falls, using Mega Adhesive to cut off Divine Blessing's speed path.

Later Kayle usually wins the finished side-lane duel if she can kite with uptime, while Singed offers better engage disruption if he reaches the backline. Late, shove and rotate rather than giving her a clean ranged duel; in teamfights, force Intervention on herself or a frontliner before your carries commit.

    • Intervention wastes Poison Trail damage, so watch its timing before committing.
    • Righteous Fury turns her into a real ranged champion for the duel.
    • Mega Adhesive should cover her retreat after Divine Blessing, not just start the trade.
    • If she uses Reckoning to poke, that is your best chance to close.

  • Kennen

    KennenUnfavoured

Kennen's range, marks, and Lightning Rush make him hard to pin down, while repeated stuns stop Singed from maintaining poison contact.

Watch for Mark of the Storm stun interrupts your chase once Kennen chains abilities and empowered attacks together.

    How to beat

Avoid taking free marks before the all-in; if you enter with one or two marks already on you, the fight is usually lost. Wait for Lightning Rush to be used for wave control or escape, then run past him with Insanity Potion and Fling him back into your trail. If Slicing Maelstrom is active, either commit fully with enough health or leave immediately before the stun chain lands.

Later Kennen is stronger in grouped fights because Slicing Maelstrom can decide the engage, while Singed is better at forcing side waves and awkward rotations. Late, do not run first into his ultimate for your team; flank after it starts or throw him out of its ideal position.

    • Count marks before chasing; two marks means he controls the next second.
    • Lightning Rush down is the real opening.
    • Mercury's Treads are much more valuable here than raw damage.

Kog'Maw's percent-health ranged damage shreds Singed before he can stay attached, especially when Void Ooze controls the chase path.

Watch for Bio-Arcane Barrage gives Kog'Maw enough range and percent-health damage to punish every straight approach.

    How to beat

Do not start the duel while Bio-Arcane Barrage is active unless you are already close enough to Fling. Approach from fog or behind minions, force Void Ooze sideways, then use Mega Adhesive behind him so he cannot kite through his own slow field. After killing him, immediately leave Icathian Surprise range instead of following the corpse.

Later Kog'Maw is a much stronger protected teamfight carry, while Singed only wins side pressure if he catches him alone without cooldowns or peel. Late, your job is to flank from angles that make Bio-Arcane Barrage kiting awkward and Fling him toward your team, not chase front-to-back through slows.

    • Wait out Bio-Arcane Barrage whenever possible; it is the duel timer.
    • Void Ooze plus Living Artillery punishes straight-line retreats, so change angle after the first slow.
    • Do not forget Icathian Surprise after a successful Fling kill.
    • Armor alone is not enough because much of his threat is magic percent-health damage.

Lee Sin can win short burst trades and reposition Singed, but he struggles if his Q misses and the fight becomes a long poison chase.

Watch for Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike lets Lee Sin choose the engage and finish low-health Singed after the first trade.

    How to beat

Keep minions between you and Sonic Wave, then punish immediately if it misses. Fling him after he takes Resonating Strike or uses Safeguard forward, because then his exit is limited. Save Mega Adhesive for the space after Dragon's Rage so he cannot simply kick you away and walk out.

Later Lee Sin falls off as a straight duelist compared with true scalers, but his kick remains more decisive in teamfights than his damage. Singed can outlast him in side lanes if he avoids Q executes; in teamfights, absorb his engage and fling him away from your carries after he commits.

    • A missed Sonic Wave is your clearest all-in window.
    • Do not run low in a straight line after he marks you; Resonating Strike is an execute-style follow-up.
    • If he Safeguards to a ward or ally, stop chasing unless Mega Adhesive can cover the landing area.

Leona has crowd control but not enough solo damage, so Singed wins the duel if he survives the initial lockup and keeps poison running.

Watch for Zenith Blade starts Leona's crowd-control chain and keeps you in place long enough for her full rotation.

    How to beat

Let her engage if you have health and mana, then turn the fight into a chase after her Eclipse duration fades. Do not Fling during Eclipse unless you need to peel her away; wait until the resistances drop, then throw her back through Poison Trail. Mega Adhesive is best used after Zenith Blade so she cannot walk out while her cooldowns are down.

Later Leona is not a side-lane threat to Singed, but her teamfight lockdown can stop your engage or hold you under focus fire. Late, ignore dueling her unless she is alone; fling her away from your carries or run past her to force the backline to respond.

    • Eclipse duration is the part to wait out before trading hard.
    • Her passive adds little in a true 1v1 because no ally is there to trigger Sunlight.

Lulu's slows, polymorph, shield, and Wild Growth make her very hard for Singed to keep in poison long enough to finish.

Watch for Whimsy denies your engage by polymorphing you or speeding Lulu out of Fling range.

    How to beat

Do not sprint directly at her while Whimsy is available; force it with a short approach, then back off until you can move again. Place Mega Adhesive behind her after Glitterlance, because she wants to kite backward while Pix damage adds up. Commit only when Whimsy or Wild Growth is down, otherwise she resets the duel after you spend Insanity Potion.

Later Lulu rarely wants a side duel, but she is excellent at denying Singed's teamfight target with Whimsy and Wild Growth. Late, you can shove waves into her, but in fights you should bait her defensive cooldowns before choosing the real Fling target.

    • Whimsy is more important than her damage; track it every trade.
    • Wild Growth can interrupt your post-Fling positioning and give her enough health to live through poison.
    • Glitterlance creates a stronger kite path if you chase straight behind her.
    • If Pix is on Lulu, her autos hurt more than a support's usually would.

Lux can stop Singed's approach with binding and slows, but if those miss she is fragile enough to die to one clean Fling chase.

Watch for Light Binding roots you before you reach Fling range and sets up Lux's full damage rotation.

    How to beat

Approach at an angle and make her cast Light Binding before you commit. Once it misses or is blocked by a minion, run through Lucent Singularity rather than around it if Insanity Potion is active, then Fling her back into poison. If Finales Funkeln is available, do not leave the fight on a predictable straight low-health line.

Later Lux is stronger at siege and pick, while Singed is stronger at side pressure and chaotic flanks. Late, you win if you attack from fog or after Light Binding is down; front-to-back engages give her too much time to root, shield, and laser.

    • Minions are your best cover against Light Binding before the chase starts.
    • Lucent Singularity's slow matters more than its damage for stopping Fling range.
    • After she misses Q, she has no real answer to you reaching her.

Malphite has trouble killing Singed through Poison Trail and Insanity Potion, and his attack-speed reduction barely matters in this duel.

Watch for Seismic Shard steals movement speed, letting Malphite break contact or set up a short trade before Singed can fling him back.

    How to beat

Keep moving through the wave so Granite Shield is constantly broken by poison. Do not chase in a straight line after Seismic Shard; wait out the stolen speed, then cut behind him for Fling once Q is down. If he uses Unstoppable Force to start the duel, turn immediately with R and make him fight inside Poison Trail.

Later Singed wins the side lane by outlasting him, but Malphite's teamfight engage is more decisive than the 1v1. Split until Unstoppable Force has to answer you, then avoid grouping in a line where he gets value.

    • Poison ticks are excellent for denying Granite Shield resets.

Watch for Nether Grasp suppresses Singed long enough for Null Zone and Malefic Visions to deal their full damage.

    How to beat

Stay outside 550 range until Malzahar uses Malefic Visions on the wave or misses Call of the Void. If his ultimate is available, do not Fling first unless you have a cleanse item or enough health to survive the channel. Commit after Nether Grasp is down, kill Voidlings with poison, and keep him moving so Null Zone never sits under you for long.

Later Malzahar remains stronger at locking one target in teamfights, while Singed is better in side pressure if Nether Grasp is not available. Buy a cleanse answer when his job is to suppress you, then force him to waste ult before your backline commits.

    • Do not Fling Malzahar into your own team if Nether Grasp is up.

Watch for Highlander makes Master Yi immune to Mega Adhesive's slow and gives him the speed to stay on Singed through Poison Trail.

    How to beat

Do not spend Mega Adhesive as your first defense once Highlander is ready; it will not slow him during the ultimate. Kite with Poison Trail, save Fling to interrupt his path after Alpha Strike returns him, and walk away from Meditate instead of wasting damage into the reduction. Re-engage when Highlander expires or when Yi used Alpha Strike to dodge minions rather than your poison trail.

Later Finished Yi wins extended side-lane fights if he reaches Singed for repeated autos, while Singed is more useful at disrupting Yi's reset path in teamfights. Force Yi to chase through poison and peel him with Fling rather than trying to duel him during Highlander.

    • Alpha Strike can dodge the Fling moment if Yi times it as you turn.

Watch for Make It Rain slows Singed on approach and buys enough space for Miss Fortune to keep firing.

    How to beat

Approach from an angle instead of through the minion line so Double Up cannot punish you for free. Bait Make It Rain, step out of the slow, then use Mega Adhesive or Fling when Strut has been broken by poison. If she channels Bullet Time, move through or behind her rather than away from the cone.

Later Miss Fortune is scarier in front-to-back teamfights than in side lane, where Singed can run her down if alone. Your job is to force her to cancel Bullet Time or make her spend it on your tank stats instead of your carries.

    • One poison tick breaks Strut and makes the chase much easier.

    How to beat

Hold Fling until Black Shield is down or damaged enough to break. Dodge Dark Binding laterally, then run through Tormented Soil quickly instead of trading while standing in it. If she uses Soul Shackles, either Fling her away early or commit with Insanity Potion so the second hit does not catch you at low health.

Later Morgana brings more teamfight protection and pick threat, while Singed has better side-lane pressure. In grouped fights, do not waste Fling into Black Shield; flip another target or burn the shield with poison first.

    • Poison Trail can chip Black Shield before the Fling attempt.
    • Dark Binding into Tormented Soil is the damage pattern to avoid, not isolated Soil ticks.
    • Flinging Morgana after Soul Shackles starts can break the tether distance.

  • Nasus

    NasusUnfavoured

Singed can bully Nasus early, but in an equal-item duel Nasus eventually outscales with Siphoning Strike, Wither, lifesteal, and Fury of the Sands.

Watch for Wither destroys Singed's spacing over time, letting Nasus stay close enough to land repeated Siphoning Strikes.

    How to beat

Punish him before Wither scales by poisoning the wave and flipping him away from last-hits, especially cannon minions. Once he has ultimate and stacked Q damage, do not take a full all-in; bait Wither, retreat until it fades, then re-enter with Fling when Fury of the Sands is down. Keep the fight moving so he loses Siphoning Strike uptime.

Later Nasus wins the pure side-lane duel if he is allowed to farm, while Singed is better at forcing rotations and disrupting teamfights. Proxy, drag him away from towers, and make him choose between stacks and grouping.

    • Fling him right as he walks up for a cannon Siphoning Strike.
    • Do not stand inside Fury of the Sands trying to finish a low-health Nasus.
    • Spirit Fire matters more if he has physical damage follow-up; alone, Wither and Q are the real problem.

  • Nidalee

    NidaleeEven

Nidalee can poke and reset with range, brush speed, and heal, but she is fragile if Singed catches her after Pounce or misses a long Javelin Toss.

Watch for Javelin Toss at long range chunks Singed before he can start the chase.

    How to beat

Do not give her long lanes for spear damage; fight around minions and approach from the side of brush rather than down the center. Wait for Pounce or Cougar engage, then Fling her back through Poison Trail before she can reset to human form and heal. If Bushwhack tags you, back off until the shred falls before committing.

Later Nidalee is better at poke sieges, while Singed is better when he can force messy fights or side-lane chases. In late fights, deny spear angles and run past her frontline only after she spends Pounce defensively.

    • Bushwhack's resist shred makes a bad chase much worse than the trap damage suggests.
    • Fling after Pounce is the cleanest punish window.
    • Brush movement lets her dodge Mega Adhesive edges more easily than most ranged champions.

  • Nunu & Willump

    Nunu & WillumpFavoured

Nunu is durable and annoying with Ice Blast, but he lacks the damage to kill Singed in a clean duel unless Singed stays inside Absolute Zero.

Watch for Absolute Zero punishes Singed if he keeps circling in melee range instead of leaving the channel.

    How to beat

Accept short Ice Blast trades and keep Poison Trail on him while avoiding extended time in his ultimate. Save Fling to interrupt or displace him during Absolute Zero if you are close enough; otherwise walk out immediately. Since Consume does not work on champions, deny his sustain by fighting away from minion waves when possible.

Later Singed wins side pressure, while Nunu is mostly a teamfight and objective support. In grouped fights, do not chase him; run through the carries he is Blood Boiling and leave Nunu behind.

    • Boots of Swiftness cuts the Ice Blast chase problem heavily.
    • Fling can ruin Absolute Zero if you are already in range.
    • Fight away from minions so Consume cannot reset his health between trades.

  • Olaf

    OlafUnfavoured

Olaf is one of Singed's worst duels because Ragnarok ignores Fling and Mega Adhesive while Reckless Swing deals true damage through tank stats.

Watch for Ragnarok makes Olaf immune to Singed's displacement and slow, removing the tools Singed uses to survive melee all-ins.

    How to beat

Before Ragnarok, bait Undertow and keep him chasing through poison without letting him pick up axes for free. Once he activates Ragnarok, stop trying to control him and disengage in a wide path until it ends. Only re-commit if he used Reckless Swing repeatedly and dropped low enough that poison plus Fling can finish after the immunity fades.

Later Olaf usually wins the side-lane duel, especially with lifesteal, but Singed can be more disruptive if Olaf burns Ragnarok chasing him away from the fight. Kite his ultimate out and then peel or flip him once crowd control works again.

    • Mega Adhesive does nothing to Olaf during Ragnarok.
    • Reckless Swing makes armor-only answers feel bad; health and disengage matter.
    • Do not let him refresh Undertow by running over his axe path.

  • Pantheon

    PantheonEven

Pantheon can win early short trades with Spear Shot and Aegis of Zeonia, but Singed outlasts him if he survives the first burst and keeps poison ticking.

Watch for Aegis of Zeonia stuns Singed in place and guarantees Heartseeker Strike damage if Pantheon angles it well.

    How to beat

Respect his early levels and do not take repeated Spear Shot trades before armor. Bait Aegis of Zeonia, then move sideways out of Heartseeker Strike and Fling him after the channel commits. Once his burst is down, keep him in Poison Trail and extend the fight; Pantheon hates long trades.

Later Singed becomes harder for Pantheon to kill in side lane, while Pantheon's value shifts to Grand Skyfall picks and burst on carries. Track his ult and pressure side lanes so he has to answer instead of freely joining fights.

    • Aegis Protection does not block Poison Trail, so keep ticking him before Fling trades.
    • Side-step Heartseeker Strike rather than running straight away from it.
    • Armor early changes this matchup more than magic resist does.

  • Rammus

    RammusEven

Neither champion kills the other quickly, but Singed can win by refusing to auto into Defensive Ball Curl and making Rammus chase through poison.

Watch for Puncturing Taunt forces Singed to attack into Defensive Ball Curl and eat reflected damage while losing control of spacing.

    How to beat

Do not stand still trading autos after he taunts you; once it ends, resume kiting with Poison Trail. If Rammus uses Powerball to engage, angle so the collision carries him past your desired path, then Fling him away from his Tremors area. Avoid fighting beside your turret when Tremors can hit structures and force a bad defense.

Later Singed is better at side-lane wave pressure, while Rammus is better at hard engage and locking a carry. In teamfights, let him start on someone else if possible, then flip him away or run past him once taunt is used.

    • Do not auto Rammus during Defensive Ball Curl unless you need a last hit of damage.
    • Poison Trail keeps damaging him while taunted movement is out of your hands.
    • Flinging him during Tremors can pull the damage zone off your team or tower.

  • Ryze

    RyzeUnfavoured

Ryze's repeated Rune Prison and mana-scaling spell damage make it difficult for Singed to ever get a clean chase without being rooted and bursted.

Watch for Rune Prison roots Singed at spell range, stopping the run-by and letting Ryze unload Overload, Spell Flux, and Desperate Power damage.

    How to beat

Do not run straight at Ryze from max range; use brush, minions, and flank angles to shorten the approach. Bait Rune Prison, back out of his Desperate Power window, then re-enter when his cooldown chain slows down. If you catch him without root, Fling immediately and stay close enough that he cannot kite between spell rotations.

Later Ryze is favored in side-lane duels once he has mana and cooldowns, and he also brings heavy AoE spell damage to teamfights. Singed should force him to spend Rune Prison defensively, then disrupt his positioning rather than dueling through Desperate Power.

    • Spell Flux MR shred makes staying in range for the second rotation dangerous.
    • Desperate Power's move speed can undo a weak engage angle.
    • Mercury's Treads reduces Rune Prison duration, but it does not solve the repeated spell cycle alone.

  • Shaco

    ShacoFavoured

Shaco can outplay with boxes and Deceive, but he usually lacks the sustained damage to beat Singed if forced to chase through poison.

Watch for Jack In The Box fears Singed during the chase and can turn a Fling attempt into free backstab damage.

    How to beat

Do not follow Shaco blindly into fog or brush where boxes are likely stacked. Keep Poison Trail on both Shaco and his clone, then use Fling after Deceive appears rather than guessing during invisibility. If Hallucinate is up, identify the real one by movement and damage taken before committing fully.

Later Shaco prefers picks and split pressure, while Singed is stronger in direct teamfight disruption. In side lane, shove waves and avoid boxed paths; make Shaco reveal himself to clear or defend.

    • Poison Trail helps reveal which Hallucinate target is actually taking meaningful damage.
    • Never chase low-health Shaco through a narrow brush path without a ward.
    • Fling after Deceive lands denies his backstab follow-up.

  • Shen

    ShenEven

Shen is hard to kill through Feint and Vorpal Blade sustain, but Singed can shove and kite him while denying clean Shadow Dash trades.

Watch for Shadow Dash taunts Singed and lets Shen lock him in place long enough to trade with Ki Strike and Vorpal Blade.

    How to beat

Keep enough lateral space that Shadow Dash has to be obvious, then punish the cooldown by poisoning the wave and flipping Shen away from farm. Do not waste your all-in into Feint; let the shield drop and keep the fight extended. Save Fling if Stand United starts nearby, because displacement can interrupt his channel if timed quickly.

Later Shen's global ultimate can outvalue the duel, while Singed has stronger wave control and can force Shen to choose between answering side pressure and joining fights. Push side lanes hard, but communicate or react when Stand United leaves you alone with the wave.

    • Fling can interrupt Stand United if you are in range during the channel.
    • Poison waveclear forces Shen to spend energy defensively instead of trading.
    • Shadow Dash is much easier to dodge if you do not chase in a straight line.

  • Sion

    SionUnfavoured

AD Sion can lock Singed down with Cryptic Gaze and heal through poison with Cannibalism, making the extended duel unfavorable.

Watch for Cannibalism gives Sion massive lifesteal once he is in melee, undoing Poison Trail damage during the all-in.

    How to beat

Avoid fighting him while Death's Caress is fresh; break or wait out the shield before committing. When Cannibalism starts, use Fling to create distance and kite until the lifesteal window ends instead of trading autos or staying in melee. If he uses Cryptic Gaze first, activate Insanity Potion after the stun and run him through poison without letting him stand and hit you.

Later Sion wins many side-lane duels if he can connect autos during ultimate, but Singed can be more useful by dragging him away from carries. In teamfights, flip Sion away during Cannibalism or make him waste the duration chasing a target he cannot hit.

    • Death's Caress can absorb the first poison and Fling burst, so do not front-load everything into it.
    • Cannibalism is the disengage signal, not the commit signal.
    • Armor helps, but denying autos during his ultimate matters more.

  • Sivir

    SivirEven

Sivir can block Fling with Spell Shield and kite with Fleet of Foot and On The Hunt, but she is vulnerable if Singed breaks the shield before committing.

Watch for Spell Shield blocks Fling, turning Singed's best catch tool into mana and a lost engage window for Sivir.

    How to beat

Tag her first with Poison Trail or Mega Adhesive pressure to draw out Spell Shield before using Fling. Approach from the side so Boomerang Blade cannot hit both passes easily, and wait out On The Hunt if she uses it to create space. Once Spell Shield is down and Strut-like movement from Fleet is broken by poison trades, commit hard.

Later Sivir is stronger in grouped pushes and teamwide engages, while Singed can beat her in side lane if he reaches her without Spell Shield. In teamfights, your job is to force Spell Shield early and disrupt her positioning before Ricochet and On The Hunt decide the fight.

    • Do not throw Fling into an obvious Spell Shield; tap her with poison first.
    • Boomerang Blade is most dangerous when you chase directly along its return path.
    • Mega Adhesive can force a Spell Shield even before you are in Fling range.

  • Skarner

    SkarnerEven

Skarner can stick to Singed through shield speed and repeated Crystal Slash, but Singed wins if he breaks the shield, denies long melee uptime, and kites through poison.

Watch for Crystalline Exoskeleton gives Skarner the speed and attack speed he needs to stay in your poison without actually losing the trade first.

    How to beat

Keep him at the edge of Poison Trail and do not Fling while Crystalline Exoskeleton is fresh unless it throws him into turret or a long poison path. Drop Mega Adhesive behind you as his shield speed comes up, break the shield with poison ticks, then turn when he has no speed boost. If Impale is available, save distance after Fling so he cannot suppress you and drag you away from your own trail.

Later Finished Singed is usually more useful in teamfights because he can run past Skarner and force carries to move, while Skarner wants one clean Impale pick. In the side lane it stays close: Skarner can duel if he keeps contact, but Singed can shove and leave rather than hand him a stationary fight.

    • Poison ticking on the shield matters because removing Crystalline Exoskeleton removes his chase speed.
    • Mega Adhesive is best used after he commits forward, not as a poke tool.
    • Do not let Impale pull you out of your own Poison Trail before the fight has started.

  • Sona

    SonaFavoured

Sona has poke and Crescendo, but she is too fragile to survive a clean adhesive into Fling sequence once Singed reaches her.

Watch for Crescendo stops your commit and buys enough time for Sona or her team to kite away.

    How to beat

Do not run straight through repeated Hymn of Valor autos unless you are ready to finish the chase. Hold Mega Adhesive for after Song of Celerity, then Fling her back through Poison Trail when Crescendo is down or when she has already used it defensively. If she keeps Power Chord ready, wait out the damage-reduction chord before committing your full all-in.

Later Sona should not be side-laning into Singed; you crush the isolated duel. In teamfights, her value is Crescendo and auras, so flank from the side and force her to ult you instead of your backline.

    • Track Power Chord color: the damage-reduction chord can ruin a short burst attempt.
    • If Song of Celerity is active, wait half a beat before throwing Mega Adhesive.
    • Crescendo is the only spell that reliably stops your first run-in.

  • Soraka

    SorakaFavoured

Soraka can silence and heal through poke, but she lacks the damage and mobility to stop Singed from forcing a long poison chase.

Watch for Infuse silences you before Fling and can turn a clean catch into a failed run-by.

    How to beat

Walk her down with Poison Trail already on, but do not telegraph Fling while Infuse is ready. Bait the silence with a short approach, back off for a step, then re-enter with Mega Adhesive under her escape path. Wish extends the fight, so commit to a long chase instead of expecting one throw to finish her.

Later Soraka will not honestly duel Singed late; she wants to stand behind teammates and reset them with Wish. You win side pressure hard, but in teamfights you should pressure her position so she spends silence and heals on herself instead of carries.

    • Infuse does not stop Poison Trail already ticking, so turn Q on before entering silence range.
    • Do not overvalue short trades into Astral Blessing and Wish.
    • Mega Adhesive behind Soraka is stronger than directly under her because she has no dash.

  • Taric

    TaricFavoured

Taric is durable and can stun, but his damage is too low to punish Singed unless Singed stands still trading autos into Shatter armor.

Watch for Dazzle stuns you long enough for Taric to walk out of poison or set up help.

    How to beat

Keep moving around him instead of auto-trading into his armor aura. If he uses Dazzle early, turn on Insanity Potion and force a long fight with Poison Trail and Fling after the stun ends. Save Mega Adhesive for after he commits forward, since he has no dash once he is slowed.

Later Taric still does not beat Singed in a side lane unless he is buying time for teammates. In teamfights, ignore his armor aura and run past him; making him use Dazzle on you is fine if your carries are free.

    • Do not Fling him deeper if Dazzle is still ready and his team is nearby.
    • His Shatter armor makes basic attacks inefficient, but Poison Trail ignores that problem.
    • Radiance is only dangerous if you stay next to him after your throw.

  • Teemo

    TeemoUnfavoured

Teemo’s ranged poison, Move Quick, blind, and mushrooms make it difficult for Singed to ever force the sustained contact he needs.

Watch for Noxious Trap controls the chase path and turns your best engage angle into a slow, damaging retreat.

    How to beat

Do not chase through unwarded brush or lane pockets once mushrooms are available. Let him push, preserve health with short poison brushes on the wave, and commit only after Move Quick has been broken by champion damage or he steps into Mega Adhesive range. Blinding Dart matters less than spacing, so the fight is about trapping his escape route rather than winning autos.

Later Teemo remains annoying in the side lane because mushrooms punish proxy paths and long chases, but Singed is much better at breaking teamfight shape. Buy detection through team resources, shove safely, and look to flank from cleared angles instead of running through his setup.

    • A single poison tick breaks Move Quick’s passive speed, making the next few steps your window.
    • Never Fling Teemo forward over a mushroom line unless it guarantees the kill.
    • Mega Adhesive on his retreat path is better than under his current position.

  • Tristana

    TristanaUnfavoured

Tristana has enough range, Rocket Jump, and Buster Shot to deny Singed’s all-in unless she wastes both displacement tools.

Watch for Rocket Jump resets the spacing after you spend movement cooldowns and also slows you where she lands.

    How to beat

Approach from fog or behind minions so she cannot kite from max range for free. Do not Fling until Rocket Jump is down unless the throw places her into Mega Adhesive or turret range; if she jumps first, use Insanity Potion to keep pace and force her Buster Shot second. Once both W and R are unavailable, she is fragile enough to die in a long poison path.

Later Tristana outscales the isolated straight-line duel because her range becomes extreme and Buster Shot preserves distance. In teamfights, Singed should not front-walk into her; flank and force her jump defensively so your team can punish the landing.

    • Her level-scaling range makes late direct engages much worse than early ones.
    • Rocket Jump’s landing slow can stop you from reaching Fling range even if she jumps nearby.
    • If Buster Shot knocks you away from your trail, reset instead of re-entering at low speed.

    TryndamereEven

Singed can kite Tryndamere for most of the fight, but Undying Rage makes any mistimed chase lethal if Tryndamere stays on top of him afterward.

Watch for Undying Rage denies your poison finish and lets Tryndamere spend several seconds attacking while you cannot kill him.

    How to beat

Keep Poison Trail on and make him use Spinning Slash to reach you, then Fling him away rather than toward his escape path. When Undying Rage starts, stop trying to finish and use Mega Adhesive plus movement to waste its duration. Recommit only as the ultimate ends and he has no Spinning Slash angle left.

Later Tryndamere is the scarier pure side-lane finisher if he can force turret pressure and repeated all-ins. Singed is usually more disruptive in teamfights, so answer waves without giving him a long lane to run you down, then group before he gets free structure damage.

    • Fling during Undying Rage is a timer tool, not a damage tool.
    • Do not let Mocking Shout’s slow catch your back as you disengage.

Twisted Fate can stun and poke, but in a true isolated duel he lacks the mobility and sustained damage to survive Singed once caught.

Watch for Gold Card from Pick A Card stops your run-in and gives Twisted Fate the space to kite or channel away.

    How to beat

Watch his card cycle and do not commit into a held Gold Card unless Insanity Potion is active and you can absorb the stun. After Gold Card is used, close diagonally around Wild Cards, place Mega Adhesive behind him, and Fling him back through Poison Trail. Gate is interruptible only by pressure and positioning, so stay close enough that he cannot safely channel after the throw.

Later Twisted Fate should win the map, not the duel; he uses Destiny and Gate to avoid you and punish other lanes. Singed wins side contact, but must shove fast and ping movement because TF’s real late-game threat is leaving the lane first.

    • A held Gold Card is the fight; a used Gold Card is your green light.
    • Run at angles so Wild Cards does not get full value during your approach.
    • After Fling, stand between him and the safest Gate channel path.

  • Twitch

    TwitchUnfavoured

Twitch’s stealth opener, stacking poison, slow, and Spray and Pray give him enough burst and spacing to kill Singed before Singed can force a clean extended chase.

Watch for Ambush lets Twitch choose the first hit, often starting the duel with free Deadly Venom stacks before you can position.

    How to beat

Do not walk into likely Ambush angles at half health, and keep minions or terrain between you and his Spray and Pray line when possible. If he opens, immediately move sideways out of Spray and Pray, then use Mega Adhesive on his retreat after Venom Cask. You win only if you survive the opener and force him to kite through Poison Trail after his slow is spent.

Later Twitch is much stronger in finished teamfights if he opens from stealth onto grouped targets. Singed’s job is to disrupt his firing line and force him to reveal early; in side lane, avoid blind facechecks because the duel is decided before you see him.

    • Sidestepping Spray and Pray matters more than closing distance for the first second.
    • Venom Cask after Ambush is his kite window; wait it out before Fling if you can.

Vayne is built to punish tanks with Silver Bolts and has Condemn plus Final Hour stealth to deny Singed’s single-target catch.

Watch for Condemn breaks your Fling approach and can pin you if you chase along walls.

    How to beat

Never run at her in a straight wall-adjacent lane unless Condemn is down. Force Tumble first with a fake approach, put Mega Adhesive where she wants to kite, and Fling only when Condemn cannot knock you out of range. During Final Hour, track the direction of each invisible Tumble and keep poison covering her likely exit instead of guessing with your body.

Later Vayne wins the side-lane duel at full build if she has space, because Silver Bolts ignores your health stacking and Final Hour denies contact. In teamfights you need flanks and terrain discipline: make her Condemn defensively, then leave her exposed to your team rather than dueling front-to-back.

    • Do not chase parallel to walls; Condemn turns that into a lost duel instantly.
    • Mega Adhesive should cover her Tumble destination, not her starting square.

Singed wins if he gets through Event Horizon, but Veigar’s stun into Dark Matter and Primordial Burst can punish any careless direct engage.

Watch for Event Horizon controls the entire engage path and stuns you if you cross the edge at the wrong time.

    How to beat

Do not charge through the ring; step inside only when you can remain inside it, or wait outside until it expires. Once Event Horizon is down, activate Insanity Potion, cut around Wild-style skillshot angles from Dark Matter placement, and Fling him before he can reset spacing. His ultimate scales with your AP, so avoid taking a low-health all-in when you have built damage.

Later Veigar’s burst becomes much more dangerous late, especially if Singed has AP items, but Veigar still hates being flanked. In side lane the duel is cooldown-based; in teamfights, enter from the side so Event Horizon cannot cover both you and your carries.

    • Standing inside Event Horizon is often safer than clipping the wall trying to leave.
    • Dark Matter is easiest to dodge before Fling; after Fling, expect it under your feet.

Warwick’s sustain and suppress give him a stronger straight duel if Singed cannot kite him long enough to deny repeated Hungering Strike value.

Watch for Infinite Duress locks you in place and gives Warwick guaranteed damage and healing while Poison Trail positioning stops mattering.

    How to beat

Keep the fight moving and avoid giving Warwick repeated basic attacks between Hungering Strike casts. Drop Mega Adhesive after he commits with Blood Scent speed, then Fling him away as he tries to stick. If Infinite Duress is up, respect his engage range and fight near your poison trail rather than letting him suppress you at the start of a clean lane.

Later Warwick remains a strong isolated duelist because suppression plus self-healing scales well in long fights. Singed is better at teamfight disruption, so build to survive his lock-down, bait Infinite Duress onto yourself if your team can punish, and avoid matching him in a pure drain duel forever.

    • Blood Scent means low-health escapes are much worse than they look.
    • Fling after Infinite Duress is often too late; create distance before he can ult.

  • Wukong

    WukongEven

Wukong can burst and disengage with Decoy, but Singed can win extended trades if he does not waste Fling on the clone or eat Cyclone for free.

Watch for Decoy can make you Fling the wrong target and lets Wukong reset after his burst combo.

    How to beat

Let him spend Nimbus Strike and Crushing Blow first, then keep Poison Trail running while watching for the brief stop that signals Decoy. Do not instantly Fling when he vanishes; move with the likely real path and throw only after he reappears or commits to Cyclone. Mega Adhesive is strongest after Nimbus Strike, when his forward dash is gone.

Later Wukong is usually more threatening in grouped fights because Cyclone can knock up multiple carries. Singed can still win or neutralize side pressure by refusing short burst trades, but in teamfights he should split Wukong from his follow-up or force Cyclone away from the backline.

    • If Wukong stops attacking suddenly, hold Fling for the real champion after Decoy.
    • Poison Trail around the clone area can still tag his escape path.
    • Cyclone’s knockup interrupts your chase rhythm, so do not start the all-in at low health.

  • Zilean

    ZileanEven

Zilean is hard to catch because Time Warp controls spacing, but if Singed reaches him after the slow or speed is down, Zilean’s revive only delays a losing duel.

Watch for Time Warp either slows Singed out of Fling range or speeds Zilean far enough that Poison Trail never sticks.

    How to beat

Do not commit your full run while Time Warp is available unless you can approach from fog. Bait the slow, back off until it fades, then use Insanity Potion and Mega Adhesive to cut off the retreat path before Fling. If Chronoshift is active, stop chasing the revive target too deep and reposition so he revives inside poison or away from safety.

Later Zilean rarely wants a side-lane duel; he wants to speed allies, double-bomb fights, and deny a kill with Chronoshift. Singed can beat him in isolation with patience, but late teamfights require forcing Chronoshift early and then changing targets instead of wasting your whole engage on the revived champion.

    • Time Warp has to be baited before Mega Adhesive gets real value.
    • Do not stand on your minion wave with Time Bomb attached to it during the approach.
    • After Chronoshift, leave poison on the revive spot instead of waiting motionless beside him.
